How do I get my auto windows to roll up in my 93′ Accord?

My auto windows on my 93 Accord won’t roll up right. I believe it’s due to the fact that the weather stripping is all out of whack? I don’t know but I really wish I knew how to fix it. New weather stripping maybe? I used some oil so it would slide through the rubber smoothly and that lasted about a day! Any ideas? Thanks for any advice!

  1. honda guy says:

use a good quality spray silicone lubricant that you can buy at any parts store. Clean the sides of the glass and the inside of the window run channels then dry and apply the lubricant.

typically dirt and pollen turn to gum inside the channels and cause the gllass to get stuck rather than glide as it should. if you still hear the motor turning but the glass goes up slow then cleanning and lubricating the run channels should be all you need to do to fix it

it the windows are going up cocked then you have other problems with the window regulator. but if its all windows then chanes are its just gum and gook in the run channels.

    hope that helps honda guy
