There are so many “low cost” auto plants coming on board Big 3 cannot be saved?

Not only are those Foriegn auto plants in US much much lower cost in car making, but world wide, there are so many places that are producing top quality cars at much lower costs that Detroit.

Doesnt that make it impossible for Detroits big 3 to survive such an onslaught of cheaper labor worldwide? And China, the new comer is just getting started in Car production.
Randall, Turns out Toyota and Subaru and the most America. Those cars made by big three are high Foriegn Content.

    Have you ever watched the movie Tucker? When the big shots put him out of business, he told them at that time that eventually, the Far East would overtake our economy. Sometimes, I hate it when people are right. Drive American. I do. randall_nd

    And idiot Senators…..Congressmen are talking they want to dictate what type of cars the auto makers will make if they have to come up with bailout money. Doesn’t that warm your heart? The same bunch of politicians who can’t run the country without overspending, can’t run Medicare, lie to themselves about Social Security solvency, gave us the FreddieMac, etc scandal (just a year or 2 ago Barney Frank was saying there’s nothing wrong with FreddieMac…stupid idiot) now want to run the US auto industry! And there are enough morons in this country who think that’s a good idea. fluffernut
